Bonfiglio Garden in Agrigento

Villa Bonfiglio is the historic municipal garden of the city of Agrigento.
At the main entrance of Villa Bonfiglio there is the Fountain for the Fallen, dedicated to the fallen of the Great War. The fountain has a circular shape and has a large marble obelisk at the apex of which there is a large bronze angel depicting the victory of the country. On the base of the obelisk are the names of the soldiers who fell during the great war. On the second level of the base, two scenes are depicted: the first represents a peasant driving a plow pulled by oxen; the second instead reports an Italian soldier who stabs an Austrian soldier.
