Church of Santa Caterina in Cammarata
The Church of Santa Caterina in Cammarata is a small and ancient place of worship in the village.
It was built in 1530 at the behest of Pasquale Mendola who named it after Santa Caterina and assigned sums for masses to be celebrated. In 1854 it was transformed into a secular patronal chapel.
The simple gabled façade has the characteristic of being asymmetrical. It has an imposing wooden coffered portal and, at the top left, there is a small niche containing the bell.
The interior, with a single nave, is decorated with classic floral motifs characterized by bright colours.
