Monte Cammarata Nature Reserve
The Monte Cammarata Nature Reserve, made up largely of both natural and planted forests, extends across the territories of Cammarata, San Giovanni Gemini and Santo Stefano Quisquina.
The reliefs are covered by conifers and broad-leaved trees and create a landscape often compared to the alpine one, particularly in the winter season when it is covered in snow.
Within the reserve there are various paths through which you can admire suggestive panoramas, hundreds of endemic herbaceous species and, for the luckiest , protected wildlife species.
There are also some refreshment areas with tables, barbecues and water fountains.
