Church of Santa Rosalia in Favara
The Church of Santa Rosalia , also known as Church of Purgatory , dates back to the 17th century.
The façade, articulated by pilasters and cornices, has an entrance portal with columns and tympanum leading into the single rectangular nave. The bell tower, which was flanked by the church in the twentieth century, follows the decorative lines of the façade and culminates with a pyramid-shaped spire.
Internally the nave is marked by pilasters and arches. The apse is decorated with elegant neoclassical stuccoes while the tabernacle is surmounted by a small wooden temple that culminates in a crown.
