Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Favara
The Church of the Madonna del Rosario , built at the beginning of the 1700s, was declared, for its beauty, a national monument .
The simple gabled façade is enriched by a limestone entrance portal. The bell tower was later joined to the church.
The interior, with a single nave, has walls decorated with valuable stuccoes.
The altar dedicated to St. Joseph and the high-relief sculptures representing the Pious Women are interesting. , with a precious wooden crucifix in the center.
Among the works kept in the church of particular interest are: the wooden statue of the Madonna del Rosario with San Domenico; the frescoes depicting the "Virgin of the Rosary with the Child Jesus and St. Dominic at the foot" and "Jesus' entry into Jerusalem".
The wooden coffered ceiling and the majolica floor, albeit unfortunately very damaged, are valuable.
