Church of Jesus Mary and Joseph in Naro
The Church of Jesus Mary and Joseph in Naro is a small but elegant place of worship in the village.
It was built in 1651 at the behest of Don Bartolomeo Barbara and belonged to the Jesuits until 1774 when, following the expulsion of the Jesuits, it came under the jurisdiction of Ferdinand IV, King of Naples and Sicily. It suffered extensive damage following an air raid in 1943 and was rebuilt in 1950.
The façade features a portal with a finely crafted pointed arch. The side view is enriched by two elegant mullioned windows with slender columns and the bell tower.
The interior, with a single nave, is very simple and features an altar and a few statues.
