Archaeological Museum in Ravanusa
The Salvatore Lauricella Archaeological Museum exhibits the finds collected in the various excavation campaigns conducted from the 1920s to the early 2000s in the archaeological site of Monte Saraceno.
The museum itinerary is divided into two rooms where they are presented the various phases of life of the centre, from prehistory to the 3rd century. BC
Among the valuable finds kept in the museum, of extraordinary artistic and historical value is a vase on a high foot, placed on the back of a donkey to which a satyr in an erotic attitude is clinging from behind, on whose surface scenes of erotic theme. The artefact was found in the sarcophagus of a child or boy (given its small size) and was dated between 520 and 460 BC.
