Giambertoni Necropolis in the Valley of the Temples
The Giambertoni Necropolis of the Alle dei Templi is a Roman necropolis, dated between the 2nd century B.C. and the 3rd century AD, consisting of limestone chest tombs.
Sculpted sarcophagi of fine workmanship have been found in this area. The best known is the child's sarcophagus, kept in the Pietro Griffo Regional Archaeological Museum in Agrigento.
