Tomb of Terone is a Roman funerary monument of the Hellenistic age located within the archaeological area of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento.
It is located inside the Roman Necropolis of Giambertoni, a cemetery that was located outside the walls of the ancient city of Akragas, dated between the first century and the third century AD.
The tomb of Theron is composed of two superimposed parts: a cubic podium and a small temple with a square base, with blind doors on each side and Doric corner columns with Ionic capitals and bases. Further south, on the right bank of the Akragas, are the remains of the temple of Aesculapius.
The Tomb of Theron can only be visited from the outside. It can be reached by leaving the large square of the parking lot to the right for the Valley of the Temples and continuing along the state road. After crossing the remains of Porta IV or Porta Aurea, the main access of the Greek Akragas, you reach the funerary monument.
