The Isle of Ciclopi Marine Protected Area covers an area of over 600 hectares along the coasts between Aci Castello and Aci Trezza. The Lachea Island, the Faraglione Grande and the Pharaoh of Birds are part of the marine protected area. It is possible to make guided dives inside the Reserve to admire the spectacle of the natural environment, characterized by the volcanic effects below the water level, as well as characteristic examples of marine fauna and over 300 types of different algae, from red to green to brown.
