Palazzo Modò di Acireale, also known as Ex Eldorado is one of the greatest examples of Baroque architecture in the city.
The building is famous for being the seat of the old Eldorado theater, but unfortunately of the original structure very little remains. It is still possible today to admire the balconies with Baroque-style brackets, bas-reliefs depicting theatrical masks and the name of the Eldorado theatre. In fact, the theater remained active only for a short time, from 1909 until the first post-war period.
