Adrano is a site rich in history that it has its roots in the city of Adranon founded by Dionysius the Elder of Syracuse in 400 BC and dedicated to Adranos, the Sicilian god of war.
The center and symbol of the city is its Norman Castle.
It is one of the major producing centers of the Tarocca quality of Sicilian red orange.
Its gastronomy is strongly linked to its agricultural production and it is much appreciated.
