Maniace museum
The Maniace the Future in Our Roots museum is a small museum whose aim is to disseminate the history of this village.
The museum tells the ancient history of Maniace, its origins linked to the Castle of Maniace and the the annexed abbey of Santa Maria di Maniace, and its more recent history linked to the town of Tortorici, from which the first inhabitants arrived in the 19th century.
Inside the museum route, 27 wooden panels and aluminum that describe the main protagonists and events in the history of Maniace. There are also work tools and domestic utensils that illustrate how life took place in this peasant village in the past.
