Church of the Sacred Heart in Fornazzo - Milo
The Church of the Sacred Heart in Fornazzo, a hamlet of Milo, is the building of worship of this small village.
It was built in 1932 at the behest of the inhabitants of the small village who wished to have their own place of worship, considered also the considerable distance from the center of Milo.
The church has a simple gabled façade with a single portal with a pointed arch flanked by two windows, also with a pointed arch. The same windows are repeated along the side elevations. An imposing bell tower flanks the structure.
The interior has a single nave with a rectangular plan and a small apse.
In the month of July the feast of the Sacred Heart is celebrated in this place on the occasion of which a procession takes place until to the small altar which was embraced, but not hit, by the lava eruption of 1979.
