Case Bevacqua refuge in the Etna Park
The Case Bevacqua Refuge in the Etna Park is a rural complex located in the area of Mount Stornello, a reference point for hiking on the North-East side of Etna.
It is a rural complex made up of a housing unit and one used for wine production. In fact, until 1960 the area was cultivated with vineyards. Subsequently the structure was abandoned because the production of wine at such high altitudes was no longer convenient. Today it is used as a reception area for hikers. Inside there is also a museum area.
The complex, located at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level, is surrounded by oak, chestnut and hazelnut forests.
