Mount of Dead
The Mount of the Dead is a lava conformation whose strange appearance recalls that of an accumulation of human bodies.
It is located at an altitude of about 1950 meters on the north side of the volcano in Sciara del Follone, in the Randazzo area. The accumulations of lava flows date back to the eruption of Etna in 1614-1624. To reach the Monte dei Morti you have to take the path that leads to the Grotta del Gelo. Along the way, arrived at the Grotta dei Lamponi, you have to follow the path indicated by small stone men.
