Gennaro-Cavallaro House in Pedara
Casa Gennaro-Cavallaro in Pedara is a valuable civil home that stands out for its decorative quality.
It was built in the second half of the 19th century by will of Mrs. Gennaro, ancestor of the current owners, and enlarged during the first twenty years of the 20th century.
The façade is divided into two orders: in the lower one the space is marked by the ashlar of the pilasters; upstairs the decoration is rich and mixed. The central opening on the upper floor stands out on the entire façade, characterized by a framework of classical elements, with columns with Ionic capitals, and dominated by a large slightly overhanging tympanum.
In the internal courtyard there is an ancient millstone which testifies the importance of wine production in the history of the village.
