Circolo Unione in Pedara
The Circolo Unione in Pedara is an important civil building in the Etna village.
It was born as an elegant conversation room for the local bourgeoisie and was commissioned by Baron Domenico Papardo who ordered its construction in his will. It was built in 1886 in Art Nouveau style.
The façade, richly decorated with garlands and acanthus leaves, presents a tripartite organization of the elements: three blind arches frame the three entrances. The figures of crowned griffins are placed between the arches.
