Consoli Palace in Pedara
Palazzo Consoli in Pedara is a civil residence of particular interest from an architectural point of view.
The date of construction of the palace is not known, it is believed that the oldest nucleus may be prior to the earthquake of 1693. The central body of the factory was built in the mid-18th century and remodeled in 1879.
Of particular interest is the internal courtyard of the building around which various rooms develop: the stables, the carriage house, a series of warehouses, service rooms and the cellar, one of the largest in the town, which represents the oldest part of the buildings.
Among the most illustrious people who lived in this building we remember: Teresa Consoli Faro (1823-1911), benefactor and mother of the Servant of God Giuseppina Faro (1847-1871) and prof. Dr. Giuseppe Consoli Toscano (1879-1957), surgeon and great benefactor, to whom a street in the town is also named.
