Laudani Villa in Pedara
Villa Laudani in Pedara is a civil building of great architectural and historical value for the Etna village.
It was built in the second half of the 18th century and underwent numerous renovations over the centuries.
The building developed around a central courtyard. The central body of the building is connected to two smaller lateral bodies, where the entrance is located in the one on the left. Along the façade, characterized by the presence of doors and architraved windows decorated with white stone garlands, a turret stands out from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama over the entire town.
Of particular value are the pictorial decorations present on the wall surfaces and on the vaults: mythological and fairytale motifs are represented mixed with elements that narrate the history of the house. Some of these frescoes, due to the finesse of their execution, have been attributed to the painter Giuseppe Sciuti (1834-1911).
