Belvedere Tower in San Pietro Clarenza
The Belvedere Tower in San Pietro Clarenza is one of the best preserved examples of the forty buildings present in the Etna area known as Pyramids of Etna.
The tower stands at the highest point of San Pietro Clarenza, from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama, hence the name Belveder, and it is believed to have been used in the past as a lookout.
The structure, made up of blocks of lava stone and mortar, stands on a high podium and is made up of terraces. There are several flights of stairs that intersect and reach the top of the building.
