Arch of the Selva del Collegio in Trecastagni
The Arch of the Selva del Collegio in Trecastagni is the ancient portal that constituted a secondary access to the convent of the Reformed Friars. The portal gave access to the large forest surrounding the convent.
Following acts of vandalism the portal was moved to a new location near the convent.
The portal was built in 1660 in lava stone and is crowned by four battlements. Above the portal stands the white stone coat of arms of the order of Saint Francis of Assisi.
