Church of San Vito in Viagrande
The Church of San Vito in Viagrande is a small religious building located outside the town centre.
The date of construction of the original structure is not known but it is certain that a church dedicated to San Vito already existed in 1571 . The current building dates back to 1790 and was dedicated to San Vito, then the patron saint of Viagrande. Following the war, it was seriously damaged and restored in the 1960s at the expense of the D'Agata family.
The simple gabled façade is enriched by a lava stone portal and flanked by a bell tower.
The interior, a rectangular plan, there is a marble altar in late Baroque style.
