Church of Calvary in Castelbuono
The Church of the Heart of Jesus, commonly known as the Church of Calvary, is one of the places of worship in the village.
It was built in 1758 by order of Don Paolo Carollo on the site of the last station of the Via Crucis that began from the Church of San Francesco and continued towards the highest part of the town.
The simple gabled façade has a large external staircase with several flights.
The interior, with a single nave, houses the valuable statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a wooden crucifix in Redemptorist style.
