The Civic Museum of Castellana Sicula is located within the archaeological area of ​​the Muratore district where a necropolis was found consisting of three hypogea entirely dug out of the rock, the largest of which it has been incorporated into the Museum.
The museum is divided into two sections: ethno-anthropological and archaeological.
The ethno-anthropological section, donated by Father Abate, includes a small collection of archaeological finds of various origins, objects and work tools bearing witness to the local peasant culture and a singular collection of stuffed and formalin animals.
The archaeological section exhibits finds discovered during the excavations conducted in the Muratore district and in some neighboring areas.
