The Collesano Watchtower is an ancient watchtower dating back to the 12th century, located at the highest point of the village.
Today the tower is incorporated into the historic center of Collesano, it stands next to the current Mother Church, but originally this place was completely isolated from the ancient town which instead had developed around the castle.
When the structure lost its military function, the tower was used as a bell tower of the mother church until the 20th century.
The The structure has a regular square plan spread over three levels. Access to the only internal room is through a side door. Inside there is a staircase that leads to the upper floor where there is a very valuable high mullioned window with cachet capital.
