The mural by Felice Balsamello in Gangi celebrates this great Gangi scientist. Felice Balsamello is in fact the inventor of the nautical ball, the ancestor of the submarine.
The mural portrays the inventor during his first experiment inside the nautical ball, during which he miraculously escaped death by invoking the help of the Holy Spirit.
