The Casa-Museo Piccione d'Avola of Geraci Siculo exhibits the private collection of Vincenzo Piccione and collects the most disparate relics and objects that belonged to his family, one of the oldest families in the city of Avola. The main nucleus of the collection is made up of a series of artistic and handcrafted cribs to the point that the House-Museum is also known as the Sicilian Museum of the crib. Of particular importance are the ethno-historical finds and of the Sicilian material culture, the wax babies, the votive statues in plaster and terracotta, and the sacred images of the period.
