Church of Santo Stefano in Geraci Siculo
The Church of Santo Stefano in Geraci Siculo is now used as an Auditorium. It was built at the beginning of the seventeenth century and has an irregular Greek cross structure, the only example in the Madonie area, and a characteristic bell tower with polychrome ashlars.
Among the works kept in the church, of particular value are: a wooden sculpture of unknown author depicting Saint Stephen holding the sign of martyrdom and the Gospel dating back to the 16th century; an oil painting, attributed to Giuseppe Salerno, known as the "lame of Gangi", dating back to 1609, which depicts Saint Stephen and the story of his martyrdom.
