The Grattara Grotto in the Madonie Park is a cave of karst origin that can be easily visited inside which there are stalactites and stalagmites. It is a splendid example of a karst cave that came to light as a result of tectonic processes that shattered the rocky outcrops.
Grattàra Cave is an integral part of the history and folklore of the place because it is the place where the Vecchia Strina , protagonist of an ancient fairy tale.
