Ethno - Anthropological Petralese Museum
The Petralese Ethno-Anthropological Civic Museum was established in 2003 and is located within the premises that housed the fifteenth-century prison.
The exhibition is divided into two sections: the Geological area " Geopark delle Madonie Giuseppe Torre "and the archaeological area" Collisani Collection ".
The Geological area" Geopark delle Madonie Giuseppe Torre" includes rocks and fossils over two hundred million years old, which tells one insight into the geological history of the Madonite territory.
The archaeological area includes the rich and prestigious "Collisani Collection", a vast repertoire of vascular productions from prehistoric times, numerous terracotta statuettes, Attic red-figure and black-figure vases and a wide range of glass paste productions, metal artefacts such as silver and bronze.
