Carrettieri Courtyard in Finale
The Carrettieri Courtyard is a large clearing surrounded by what were once the warehouses that kept the food supplies of the noble Marquis of Geraci.
Originally the courtyard was completely closed and had a single access from the door of the sacristy of the adjoining church.
In this courtyard, around the 1950s, two important craft activities took place: the construction of zabbara or zammara chairs and the production of soap. The rooms surrounding the courtyard were also used for the shelter of cattle.
