Baglio Castellana in Valledolmo
Baglio Castellana in Valledolmo, also known as Palazzo Cutelli, is an ancient feudal palace.
It was built around 1600 and the current town developed around it. The palace was the seat of Count Cutelli and the annexed dependencies. The building complex includes the College of Mary with internal colonnaded cloister and the Church of the Holy Souls.
The palace, divided into two orders, has an imposing stone façade. Through a large and high entrance you access an internal courtyard, called Baglio Castellana, and the warehouses. In the center of the courtyard there is a well that collects spring water coming from the slope of the mountain range above. A staircase from the courtyard led to the family's apartment. To the north of the imposing building extended the ground rooms used as stables, haystacks, warehouses, kitchens and the drinking trough.
