Mrs. Cristina's Acqua Drink in Valledolmo
The Acqua della Signora Cristina drinking trough in Valledolmo is one of the drinking troughs present in the village which testify to the abundance of water in these lands.
It was commissioned by Countess Cristina Cutelli Joppolo, who married Don Giovanni Joppolo, Baron of St. Philip. The countess had invested herself with the barony of Valle dell'Olmo in 1712, after the death of the mother countess, excluding from the inheritance the natural son of Don Antonio Cutelli, the lawyer Giovanni.
The drinker has a large circular basin with in the center the statue of a putto.
