Braidi and the carpet of woolen flowers

In Braidi, a hamlet of Montalbano Elicona, the longest carpet of woolen flowers in the world will be set up on the occasion of the traditional floral display.
In the 2023 edition of the Braidi infiorata, the road surface will be covered for the first time by a long carpet of woolen flowers, expertly made by the hands of the women (and also the men) of Braidi and neighboring municipalities, such as Falcone , Basicò, Tripi, Patti, San Piero Patti, Bafia (Castroreale). A solidarity chain that has made it possible to create the largest carpet of woolen flowers in the world.
The carpet covers an area of approximately 72.50 square meters and is made up of over 50,000 colorful roses divided in 20 paintings.
The paintings will remain on display in the various villages that have contributed to the creation of the carpet throughout the summer.
