The old lady who brings gifts traditionally visits the homes of the Corleonesi on the night between 30th and 31st December to leave a gift for the children.
The last fest to close the year has Carcavecchia as its protagonist, a figure that is a bit reminiscent of the Befana. On the occasion of this last event of the year, a fair is traditionally organised, called Fiera della Carcavecchia, very similar to the famous Christmas markets and which in the Corleone village fills the streets and squares with people, looking for gifts to offer or simply a greeting and a wish to exchange.
