An ancient song and a traditional dance preserve the history and traditions of this village.
'A Nuciddara" is an ancient song that the Tortoricians used to sing among the hazelnut groves, to relieve fatigue on harvest days. The song has been handed down over the centuries and in the 1980s the maestro Gemino Calà , a scholar of ethnic music, created a new musical arrangement that gave new life to this ancient song.
The Lanzet is the traditional dance of Tortorici, it dates back to very ancient pastoral traditions and it is still passed down from generation to generation today.
