The legend of the Castle of Giarratana tells of a rich treasure hidden near the castle of the Settimo di Fitalia.
It is said that, in 1865, the Settimo Calvello barons, before settling permanently in Palermo, hid a rich treasure with chests full of gold coins and precious armor in a cave near the castle. legend has fed over time the imagination of the citizens of Giarratana who have all ventured into his research. It is unknown if anyone ever found the treasure.
