According to popular tradition, the island of Lampione, in the Pelagie Islands, has its origins in Greek mythology.
In fact, it is said that the island of Lampione is a boulder that escaped from the hands of a Cyclops. Popular tradition also tells that the island of Lampione, now uninhabited, was once inhabited by two hermits, but there are no certain evidence about this possibility.
