Legend of "Leap of the old woman"

There is a place in Pantelleria, a very high rocky edge, known as Salto della vecchia to which a legend is linked.
It is an overhang of the sea almost 300 meters high from which to enjoy a magnificent panorama, so high and overhanging that it is worth observing from lying down. According to legend, an old woman was thrown from the top of this rocky edge because she was accused of witchcraft and because it was believed that with her spells she had caused a prolonged drought. No news has come to us if the rain came following this condemnation.
