Legend of the Mirror of Venus
The Mirror Lake of Venus in Pantelleria is a place full of charm, suspended between reality and legend.
It was in Pantelleria that the goddess Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, found her mirror, her large shell full of water in which to admire her reflection. According to legend, the Goddess Venus was reflected in the clear waters of Lake Venus before her amorous encounters with Bacchus, who was a frequent visitor to the island of Pantelleria for his passito wines and rich libations.
