Legend of treasure at the Gorges of Tiberius

A legend is linked to the grotto of the Brigands, located in the gorges of Tiberius, which tells of a hidden treasure.
The cave is so called because in the past many brigands of the area lived in this place and according to a popular legend they hid their booties here. The path to reach the caves was known only to a few and anyone who was led to the cave was first blindfolded. Despite this, many locals soon learned the path to reach the cave, but no one ever had the courage to take it because, according to the legend, it was protected by a terrible find , that is a necessary rite for the treasure materializes: it required the death of a man and the flow of his blood inside the cave, and in the event that no one was sacrificed, the first one who touched it would die.
