The Donnalucata seafront becomes the Marinella seafront in the television series "Inspector Montalbano".
Marinella is the place where Salvo Montalbano lives, protagonist of the series based on the novels of Andrea Camilleri. On this promenade Montalbano is often found to gravitate, usually walking with beautiful women.
Often the houses along the seafront become sets of scenes from the series: in the episode "The Age of Doubt" one of the houses becomes the restaurant "Il Cafaro di Montereale" where the Commissioner goes to dinner with Lieutenant Laura Belladonna. < br> In the episode "Cat and goldfinch" and "The age of doubt" the pier of Donnalucata also appears, while in "The shape of water" appears the "Mormino Penna" building of Donnalucata.
