"Inspector Montalbano " - Trabacche Cave
The Grotta delle trabacche of Ragusa appears in an episode of the series "Il Commissario Montalbano".
In the episode "The Terracotta Dog", inspired by the story of Andrea Camilleri, a former mafia boss invites him to look for a cave in the Crasto mountain. The cave that appears in the scenes is the Grotta delle Trabacche, a catacomb dating back to the 4th century AD. In this place Montalbano will find, in addition to an arsenal of weapons, the tomb of two lovers murdered and watched over by a terracotta dog. His curiosity will push him to unravel the mystery that surrounds the story of the two lovers.
