The village of Forza D'Agrò, as well as that of Savoca, was used as a film set by Francis Ford Coppola for the setting of several scenes from the film trilogy "The Godfather". The film, which has always been considered one of the best films ever made, tells the story of the powerful Mafia family of New York: the Corleones.
In "Il Padrino" it is possible to admire Piazza della Santissima Annunziata and some streets of the country of Forza D 'Agrò.
In "The Godfather Part II" appears the church of the Santissima Annunziata and that, then in ruins, of Sant'Antonio Abate and finally piazza Sant'Antonio.
In "Padrino Part III" the church still appears della Santissima Annunziata in front of which Kay reminds her ex-husband Michael Corleone of his daughter Mary's intention to marry his cousin Vincent Mancini, and Piazza della Santissima Trinità where Michael Corleone and his ex-wife dance to the sound of an orchestra.
