Wine is the most identifying product of the city of Menfi: with approximately 7000 hectares of land cultivated with vines, it accounts for 40% of the export of all the island's wine production.
Menfi, in particular, and the entire Belìce valley, is one of the most appreciated areas for the quality of wine production. It is an area where the culture of vines and wine has a thousand-year tradition: the first evidence dates back to the Sicani era as reported, as early as the 6th century, by the Byzantine geographer Stephen of Byzantium.
The oenological excellence of these lands makes Sicilian wine famous throughout the world.
