Lullaby of Bad Weather in Forza D'Agrò

"Lullaby of bad weather" is a tradition of Forza D'Agrò in which the elderly of the town participated during thunderstorms.
On winter days, during severe thunderstorms, the elderly women of the village with vine shoots and long knives with a rigorously black handle looked out from the balconies and windows of their houses, shouting the name of a neighbor, also equipped with the branch of screw and knife. This one immediately answered and in turn called another one. When all the old ladies had been called, a dirge was sung, which spread throughout the town, at the end of which the vine branch was cut. The rite was intended to dampen the terrible storm that threatened the fields. A candle was then lit and a chant recited, then the candle was placed behind the window and waited for the bad weather to end.
