The name of the village of Forza D'agrò is linked to its history and its ancient castle.
The term D'Agrò in fact derives from the contraction of the name of the Antico Casale d'Agrilla, the ancient name of the farmhouse from which today's town was born. The term Strength is believed to derive from the contraction of the word fortress. This hypothesis is confirmed by the fact that this town at the time of Count Ruggero was developed all around a castle.
