There is little information and many hypotheses regarding the origin of the name Venetico.
A first hypothesis establishes that the origin of the name Venetico may be linked to a past presence of Venetici, ancient Venetians, given the findings of nearby urn fields.
A second hypothesis derives the name from the term Venètico, blue hyacinth flower.
A third hypothesis establishes that in the 13th century it was the brothers Simone and Rainero de Venetico, who acquired the fiefdom, who gave it their name.
