Prehistoric village of Ustica Natural Calendar
A study of archaeoastronomy claims that the place where the prehistoric village of Ustica stands was chosen to have a natural calendar.
The position in which the prehistoric village of the Faraglioni stands has always aroused the interest of many scholars because this is not optimal from a defensive point of view. Scholars have therefore always believed that another reason was hidden.
It has now been discovered that the place where the village stands represents a privileged position to understand the arrival of winter: at the winter solstice, looking at the sun from the village this culminates and sets aligning with some of the island's natural peaks.
